1. Abstracts may be submitted for either oral or poster presentations. Authors should state their preferences but the final decision will depend on the committee.
2. Abstracts must be exclusively submitted via the 14th Asian Pan-Pacific Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Meeting official website. (http://www.appspghan2018.com) before June 1, 2018. Otherwise submissions will be rejected.
3. The original abstracts must be written in English and must not have been published or presented in any forms at any other international meetings before the date of the 14th Asian Pan-Pacific Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Meeting.
4. Abstract submissions must include:
  • 4.1. Author and co-authors’ details, including title(s), full first and family name(s) as well as their affiliation
  • 4.2. Presenting author’s contact details, including an e-mail address and a full postal address
  • 4.3. Abstract title, limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE
  • 4.4. Abstract text, divided into 4 sections (background and objectives, methods, results, and conclusion) and limited to 300 words (including acknowledgements)
  • 4.5. If a table is included, only 1 table is allowed. Please create the table with an MS Word-compatible word processor using Times New Roman font, and save it in either .doc or .docx file format only.
5. Type of presentation (oral or poster) and a principal scientific area (Gastroenterology, Hepatology, or Nutrition) must be selected at the time of submission.
6. Only standard abbreviations are allowed. If abbreviations are unusual, they must be placed in parentheses after the first full words.
7. Use generic names of drugs.
8. Express numbers as numerals, except for at the beginning of a sentence, where the number should be spelled out.
9. Authors must declare their 'Conflicts of Interest' stating any relationship of commercial nature that could affect the results of the studies.
10. Abstract submission acknowledges the author's permission for the abstract to be published in all Meeting's media.
11. To confirm presentation and ensure the publication in the abstract book, the presenting author is required to register for the Meeting prior to August 15, 2018.


The APPSPGHAN 2018 Travel Award is intended to give a USD 300 cash support to 12 physicians to assist with the cost of attendance.
Eligibility of the applicant
1. Be under the age of 45 (as of 31 Dec 2018)
2. Be an abstract presenter
3. Pay the registration fee(s) before the registration deadline and attend the congress
4. Apply online when submitting the abstract by June 1, 2018
The applicants will be selected based on quality of their abstracts and result will be notified approximately in August 2018. Awardees will receive a cash prize at the congress venue.

Young Investigator Award
Three best presenters who have been granted the travel award and accepted for oral presentations (one from each subspecialty research) will have the chance to win the young investigator award. The amount of award is USD 200 (which will be up to 500 USD).
Chairpersons and the scientific committee will judge their onsite presentations on the day of the congress. The award will be announced and offered after the oral presentation.
